Nudie Jeans offer customers a global and free repair service for their worn jeans in order to extend the life of every pair.

Nudie Jeans has launched a repair service in all of its stores worldwide as part of the company’s ‘Eco-cycle’ sustainability philosophy, which aims to extend the life-cycle of jeans through repair, reuse and recycling. Nudie Jeans’ repair service gives customers the opportunity to return well-worn jeans to stores for free repairs as many times as they like.

It’s no secret that the cotton industry is one of the worst industries in the world. We only work with organic cotton, and the people we work with reuse their water and they don’t use pesticides to grow it.

Palle Stenberg – CEO, Nudie Jeans

In addition to offering free repairs, customers are granted a 20% discount on a new pair if they return an old and worn-out pair of Nudie Jeans. Returned pairs are either refurbished or recycled for special projects, such as limited edition rag rugs and camper seats.

Why you should care

Around 7,000 liters of water are required to produce the average pair of jeans. Together with the repair and exchange services, as well as water-efficient customer guidelines for washing jeans, Nudie Jeans aims to prolong the life of jeans, reduce resource usage and promote sustainable fashion.

How the Global Goals are addressed

Decent Work and Economic Growth

Nudie Jeans has paid living wages to all workers involved in the production of their products since 2013.

Responsible Consumption and Production

Their ‘Eco-cycle’ sustainability philosophy reduces the consumption of raw materials and water, saves energy and reduces clothing waste.
